With Sugarpine Drive-In in Troutdale, Oregon

Our brewery has worked with Sugarpine Drive-In to create Shandy River, a Yuzu Shandy that captures summer’s rays by skillfully blending a crisp rice lager base with our yuzu lemon soda—a lively refresher bound for river, trail, and backyard adventures.
Shandy River is a tribute to Oregon’s summer river culture. With Sugarpine adjacent to the glacier-fed Sandy River in Troutdale, and Block 15 to Marys and the Willamette Rivers in Corvallis, we wanted to produce something light to carry along during the hot days of summer.
As part of our partnership with Sugarpine, our Executive Chefs have collaborated on a special sandwich, the Izakaya Steak Sandwich, which utilizes Sugarpine's Northwest Wonder Rub and an array of Pacific Northwest ingredients. This ornate offering is intended to pair perfectly with Shandy River.

Izakaya Steak Sandwich @ Block 15
Cold-smoked Northwest bavette steak, coated in Sugarpine Drive-In’s Northwest Wonder Rub and glazed with okonomi sauce, served chilled with caramelized miso-sesame aioli, grilled zucchini and green pepper–kale salad tossed in yuzu vinaigrette, and a red miso smashed cucumber & corn succotash. Served on a Bread Stop Bakery brioche bun.
Shandy River will make its debut with the sandwich at Sugarpine on Thursday, June 26th, and Friday, June 27th, at both Block 15 locations. Each sandwich will differ slightly due to regional availability of ingredients, and is available while supplies last.

Alumni Club is a collaboration done each year with a brewer who completed Oregon State University's Fermentation Science program to celebrate the lasting impact OSU has had on the brewing industry.
This year's beer was developed in collaboration with our friends and fellow OSU graduates at Sunriver Brewing Company. This Southwest IPA features Neo-Mexicanus Medusa and Amarillo hops, along with a touch of flaked maize—a crisp and aromatic IPA capturing the essence of hot days and cool nights in the high desert.
Alumni Club: Sunriver Chapter releases on June 13th at Block 15 locations in Corvallis. Find it around the PNW the following week.

Part Two of our collaboration with Fort George Brewery, this 7.70% West Coast IPA pulls you into a vortex of pine, citrus, ripe kiwi, and diesel, crafted with the best parts of our two iconic IPAs: Vortex and Sticky Hands.
This beer was made to celebrate our longtime friendship, shared history, and passion for brewing. We’ve taken the best from our iconic IPAs, crafting each part of this collaboration at our respective locations with similar ingredients and our own unique brewing techniques. Sticky Vortex is loaded with Simcoe, Simcoe Hyperboost, Comet, Mosaic, CTZ, Centennial, Apollo, and Apollo CO2 Extract hops. While it may resemble its twin, Vortex Hands, it offers an entirely different experience.
Sticky Vortex releases May 16th at Block 15 locations in Corvallis and the following week around the Pacific Northwest.

A Brew to Celebrate 9 Years of Loyal Legion

July 2024This small-batch beer was made with the hop lover in mind. We used Nectaron, El Dorado, Citra, and Simcoe hops and generously dry-hopped it with Nectaron, Citra, and El Dorado. Full of bright citrus notes, this beer was perfect for toasting at Loyal Legion’s tiki-themed 9th-anniversary celebration in Southeast Portland.

A Fully Loaded IPA for CBC with Our Pals at Crosby

April 2024We brewed this small-batch beer with the Crosby crew to highlight our respective operations, utilizing a litany of their hop products to create something we’re truly proud of that will be showcased at the Craft Brewers Conference. B&D Farms’ Cascade, Crosby Estate Grown Comet CGX, and New Zealand-Grown Pacific Sunrise hops combine to create an IPA bursting with tropical fruit character, pine, grapefruit, and orange zest.

Celebrating On Tap Bend’s 6th Anniversary

April 2024Erik & Laura brewed this beer at Block 15’s Downtown Pub to serve at their 6th Anniversary party in Bend, Oregon. This special brew balanced a light malt body with a delightful blend of tangerine, grapefruit, citrus zest, pine, and tropical fruit notes. We added a special mix of CTZ, Chinook, Mosaic, and Apollo CO2 extract to the boil, and for the double dry-hop, we’ve included Mosaic, Cashmere, and Chinook.
